I REPLACED MY
LIMBS WITH
SEA LEGS
Craig Wood is attempting to become the first triple-amputee to sail across the Pacific Ocean, solo.
In 2009, at the age of 18, the British Army veteran lost both his legs and his left hand when he was blown up in Afghanistan.
Finding salvation through sailing, he is now sailing 6,000 nautical miles solo from Mexico to Japan on a 41-foot custom-built aluminium catamaran.

Passionate about changing perceptions of disability and helping people thrive through trauma
It started out as a reprieve from the trauma of a life-changing incident, but as Craig has settled into sailing life, more and more people have approached him both online and in person to say what an inspiration he is to them. At first it took Craig aback, but he has come to realise how powerful his story can be.
The ability to change hearts and minds on what is believed possible for people with a disability is one of the most life-changing and long-lasting impacts Craig can have.

SAILING TOWARDS BETTER LIVES
